Victorian Scottish agate arrow pin set in silver is a striking example of the agate jewelry that became fashionable due to Queen Victoria's love for Scotland. Agate jewelry was made in Scotland from the late 18th century but when the Queen began to summer at Balmoral Castle in the mid 1800's, the enthusiasm for all things Scottish swept England.

Alongside tartan, the thistle is perhaps the most identifiable symbol of all things Scottish.
