2-Tone P.S. Bartlett in Coin Silver Hunter Case Waltham Pocket Watch c.1904 | 18 Size Stiff Bow Case

Only 6,400 23J Sangamo Specials were ever made by Illinois. Produced in 1904, this Waltham P.S. Bartlett pocket watch represents one of the company's respected full plate movements housed in an attractive 18 size coin silver hunter case. The substantial three-ounce case features an appealing machined finish that has developed a pleasing antique patina while remaining in Very Good condition.

Opening the hunter case reveals a beautiful white double sunk porcelain dial with traditional Roman numerals and elegant blued spade hands. The dial remains in Perfect condition, providing exceptional contrast and preserving the refined appearance expected of a quality American pocket watch from this period.

Powering the watch is Waltham's finely finished 17 jewel full plate movement with attractive two-tone damaskeening. The movement is lever set, utilizing the dependable lever escapement, and remains properly signed by the manufacturer. Its decorative gold-tone train bridge accents contrast beautifully against the nickel plates, making it an especially attractive movement for collectors who appreciate early American watch finishing techniques.
