Victorian 18K Gold Stone Cameo Seed Pearl Brooch C. 1880
This 22 x 29mm cameo has a beveled edge and a dark amber background with the right side profile of the young lady and the border being in white. This is set in a 37mm diameter oval brooch, the right or left side from the cameo is embellished with a series of twelve seed pearls which are flush set. Below the main frame is another smaller circle making the overall size of the brooch 47mm long. The frame is textured with parallel grooves as is the loop at the bottom. The yellow-gold brooch is in near mint condition and weighs 10.8 dwts. The outside borders of the pearls are highlighted with very thin black enameled lines. Quite a beautiful vintage piece!
