Many watch collectors are familiar with a long running publication "The Complete Price Guide to Watches" authored by Richard E. Gilbert, Cooksey Shugart, and Tom Engle that was considered the watch collectors "Bible" at the time. In later years Richard M. Gilbert and Peter Planes also contributed to the book.
Starting in 1986 Richard E. Gilbert also published catalogs offering fine & important timepieces under his company's name Ashland Investments. These catalogs have become collectors' pieces in themselves with a wealth of photos and descriptions of rare and highly sought after timepieces.
Over the years Mr. Gilbert decided to frame the catalog covers to display in his offices.
